Scott Munroe is the architect for the Garden of Reflection and Remembrance, otherwise known as the Zen Garden. According to Scott, "This place was designed...because of people needing a place to go after 9/11. They decided there wasn't a place to go where people can go and be calm and contemplate and reconnect themselves... One of the requirements...was that they have a labyrinth in it. So, when I came on to campus as the landscape architect, this was one of the first projects that I got to undertake...designing this 52-ft diameter labyrinth and the fountains and everything that goes along with it." |
